The name ‘Quinta da Familia’ was coined by our lovely children so they could be sure to always find shelter with us ;-) We try to stay true to the name by treating all our guests like family.

Close to the coast
The beautiful bay of Sao Martinho is only 4 km away, child-friendly with a lively boulevard and cozy restaurants. Foz de Arelho an idyllic seaside resort is 10km from our quinta. Here you can enjoy swimming in the protected lagoon as well as in the open sea. Delicious fish there, we are happy to give you some tips. The big famous waves and the beach of Nazare are beautiful and not far from us either!

Close to cities
The center of historical Caldas da Rainha is only 10 minutes by car, where you will find a lot of shops ,supermarkets and a daily fish and vegetable market (except Sundays). 20minutes by car you find Obidos, a Unesco medieval creative city encircled by walls and really worth visiting! Don’t forget to taste the cherry liqueur ;) One of our favorite places close-by is Alcobaca with an impressive monastery.

Close to culture
There is a lot of culture to see, next to the closeby cities already mentioned.
Within 1 hour drive: Sintra - like a fairy tale with its beautiful historic Pena Palace on the top of the hill, Batalha has an impressive monastery as well.
Coimbra a student city with one of the most beautiful libraries in the world and a little bit further Tomar, the city of the Templars.

Golf
It is a true golfing paradise on the Silver Coast, there are 4 golf courses within a half-hour drive. Beautiful situated by the ocean. Feel free to ask for information about this!

80km to Lisbon
Capital Lisbon and the airport is a hour drive away. There is a very good and easy bus connection from Lisbon to Caldas da Rainha.

5min to bars & restaurants
There is a ministore you can walk to from the Quinta. In Sao Martinho you will find an abundance of restaurants and bars 4km away.
Where you’ll stay
The apartment has a private entrance and is on the first floor, its comes with a garden view. It features a King Size bed, a bathroom with a walk-in shower and a hair dryer. Towels and bed linen are provided.You can eat in the studio or outside on the private balcony. There is no kitchen stove, but the apartment features a microwave, a coffee machine, water kettle, and a fridge. Free internet and free parking, pool and bikes are for free use as well

coffee and tea, water consumption, electricity, internet, bed linen, towels, use of swimming pool, use of bicycles and final cleaning.
